• Q: How to service and repair fuel injectors on 2002 Toyota 4Runner?

  A: Commence fuel injector repair by taking off the air cleaner hose followed by intake air connector assembly with fuel pressure regulator then use a container to catch leaked fuel while disconnecting the fuel inlet pipe. Start by disconnecting the fuel pipe while removing the injector connectors and after that proceed to take off the delivery pipes and injectors while maintaining control to prevent injector drops and avoiding any force on the injectors while doing so. Start by removing 4 bolts and delivery pipes alongside 6 injectors and after that separate the 4 spacers on the intake manifold followed by pulling out the 6 injectors from the delivery pipes then extracting the 2 O-rings and insulator from each of the injectors. Reinstall the fuel pressure regulator before inspecting the air assist lines and connections for damage or harm and loose connections and installing the intake air connector assembly with the air cleaner hose in place.
