Begin installation by cleaning the oil cooler mounting contact area before putting on a new O-ring to the oil cooler unit. Then apply a thin layer of engine oil to both threads and the head of the union bolt. Fix the plate washer to the oil cooler using the union bolt before tightening it to 68.6 Nm (700 kgf-cm, 51 ft. lbs.). Start the engine after reattaching the oil cooler hoses to the cooler device and installing the oil filter and filling with coolant and finally checking for oil leaks while verifying the oil level.
