  A: Service and repair of the throttle body begins with draining the engine coolant. Unplug the accelerator cable before disconnecting the mass air flow meter connector together with the VSV connector for the canister closed valve and air hose for EVAP from the air cleaner cap. Begin by opening the air cleaner hose clamp bolt and removing the two air cleaner cap clips while taking out the air cleaner hose and air cleaner cap from the throttle body. The throttle body needs removal after disconnecting three components: throttle position sensor connector and IAC valve connector along with the PCV hose from the throttle body and the two water bypass hoses. Detach the throttle body by removing its bolt then two nuts which separates it from the intake manifold together with the throttle body gasket. During installation position the new intake manifold gasket with its protruding section pointing downward before securing the throttle body and accelerator cable bracket through bolt and nuts that should be tightened to 21 N.m (210 kg.cm, 15 ft.lb).
