  A: The first step in servicing the fuel injector requires removal of the PCV hose combined with the No.2 cylinder head cover from the 1ZZ-FE engine. Remove the fuel tube connector from the fuel pipe through the fuel pipe clamp after observing safety precautions against fuel line retained pressure which avoids fuel splashing. Start by disconnecting the 4 injector connectors then remove the 3 bolts before taking out delivery pipe and its attached 4 injectors along with the fuel pipe. Handle the injectors with caution when you detach them and take the 2 spacers off the cylinder head prior to extracting all 4 injectors and taking away their O-ring and grommet components. The procedure for installation involves placing grommets on each injector followed by an application of spindle oil or gasoline on fresh O-rings before preceding with installation. First coat the delivery pipe contact area of each O-ring with spindle oil or gasoline before using the injector to slip them into the delivery pipes keeping the injector connectors extended outward. Apply spindle oil or gasoline on the cylinder head contact points of the injector O-ring before placing both spacers on the cylinder head. Then position the delivery pipe with 4 injectors mounted on the fuel pipe set up on top of the cylinder head. Check that the delivery pipe bolts along with the fuel pipe bolt will allow smooth injector rotation before you use new O-rings. For the 1ZZ-FE engine tighten delivery pipe cylinder head bolts to 19 N.m (190 kgf.cm, 14 ft.lb) while 2ZZ-FE engine bolts need 29 N.m (290 kgf.cm, 21 ft.lb) torque and fuel pipe bolt requires 9 N.m (92 kgf.cm, 7 ft.lb) torque. Put the fuel tube to the fuel pipe after implementing proper connection safety measures then add the fuel pipe clamp before recovering the No.2 cylinder head cover.
