  A: The first step for repairing or servicing the Air Bag Control Module requires removing several components including the lower finish panel, lower No.1 panel, finish panel, upper console cover, console box hole cover, console box and end finish panel LH and end finish panel RH. After the Air Bag sensor assembly is put into position disconnect its connectors before using a Torx wrench (T40, Part No.09042-00020 or locally manufactured tool) to eliminate the three screws holding the assembly in place. Secure the Air Bag sensor assembly through three screw threads with a Torx wrench before connecting Air Bag sensor connectors. Use the identical Torx wrench to apply 20 N.m (205 kgf.cm, 15 ft.lbf) torque while installing. The sensor assembly must be replaced completely whenever it gets involved in accidents or displays any damages regardless of whether the sensor deployed or not. Check that the SRS wiring does not affect any other components in the vehicle. The installed sensor assembly requires testing by applying a gentle shake motion. To complete the installation replace the end finish panels from both sides with their RH and LH counterparts together with the console box and hole cover and upper cover followed by the finish panel and No.1 lower panel and finish panel lower.
