How to service the ignition coil on 2001 Toyota 4Runner?

The first step to servicing the ignition coil requires disconnecting the high-tension cords from the ignition coils as well as taking off the air cleaner hose. After disconnecting the 3 connectors from the ignition coils you should remove the 3 bolts along with 3 ignition coils from the LH cylinder head while keeping the coil order correct. The 3 ignition coils should be mounted on the LH cylinder head using 3 bolts which need to be tightened to 7.8 N.m (80 kgf.cm, 69 in.lbf). Afterward, connect the 3 connectors to their respective ignition coils. The high-tension cords should be connected to the igniter followed by reinstallation of the air cleaner hose.
