- Q: How to service and repair the blower motor on 2001 Toyota 4Runner?A: Service and repair operations for the blower motor begin with removing the glove compartment door and glove compartment reinforcement and continuing with the removal of No.2 instrument panel lower finish panel and No.4 heater to register duct and front door scuff plate RH and cowl side trim RH. Begin service by first removing the cooling unit and then the blower unit through connector disconnection from the blower motor and air inlet damper control cable detachment from the blower unit. The disconnection process allows you to remove the nut along with the bolt and the blower unit. Installation should proceed in the opposite direction of disassembly while adjusting the control cable before completing the reconnection process.
