- Q: How to service and repair the blower motor on 2000 Toyota 4Runner?A: The procedure for servicing the blower motor includes first removing the glove compartment door followed by glove compartment reinforcement and then moving to No.2 instrument panel lower finish panel and No.4 heater to register duct and front door scuff plate RH and cowl side trim RH. The blower unit service requires the first step to detach the cooling unit followed by disconnecting the blower motor connector and air inlet damper control cable from the blower unit. You should remove the blower unit after disconnecting its nut and bolt during dismantling. You should install the components in exactly the opposite sequence of disassembly while adjusting the control cable once all required connections are in place.
