    A: You should start the compressor clutch service or repair process by removing its components. Special Service Tools 07112-76060 work concurrently with a socket wrench to separate the shaft bolt from its location with a recommended torque value of 13.2 Nm (135 kg.cm, 9 ft.lb). The pressure plate removal process can begin by attaching Special Service Tool: 07112-66040 and continuing with the use of Special Service Tool: 07112-76060, 07112-6040 along with a socket wrench to complete the pressure plate removal and finally taking out the shims. The snap ring removal requires Special Service Tool: 07114-84020 to use which needs placement of the beveled side facing upward during reinstallation. A plastic hammer should be used to gently tap the rotor off its shaft while taking care to protect the pulley from damage. The procedure for stator removal begins with disconnecting the wire lead then using Special Service Tool: 07114-84020 to remove the snap ring. Place the beveled side toward the top for proper reinstallation before extracting the stator. Reassembly occurs according to the reverse procedures of disassembly. Check the magnetic clutch clearance through dial indicator transfer to the pressure plate and positive (+) battery terminal connection and negative (-) terminal application to monitor pressure plate and rotor gap alignment. The standard clearance range should be 0.5 plus or minus 0.15 mm (0.020 plus or minus 0.0059 in.). Measurement of the clearance should reach 0.5 plus or minus 0.15 mm (0.020 plus or minus 0.0059 in.) which can be corrected by adding shims of thickness 0.1 mm (0.004 in.), 0.3 mm (0.012 in.), or 0.5 mm (0.020 in.).
