2000 Toyota MR2 Spyder A/C Accumulator Parts Q&A

  • Q: How to replace the A/C Accumulator from the modulator on 2000 Toyota MR2 Spyder?
A: The main steps for receiving A/C Accumulator replacement in modulators include first using a 10 mm hexagon wrench to remove the modulator cap while also taking out the filter. Begin by taking out the A/C Accumulator with pliers from the modulator before inserting a new A/C Accumulator into the opening point the 2 layered part of the A/C Accumulator upward. The filter needs installation into the modulator by placing it inside while orienting the protruding end facing downward. Install the modulator cap after applying compressor oil (ND-OIL 8 or equivalent) to O-rings and the screw part and tightly secure it with a 10 mm hexagon wrench until it reaches 12.3 Nm (125 kg.cm, 9 ft.lb).
