  A: The generator servicing starts with loosening the drive belt tensioner a quarter turn in a clockwise direction until the drive belt can be removed followed by a safe replacement of the tensioner. The service of the generator begins by removing the wire clamp from the wire clip on the rectifier end frame followed by removing the rubber cap and nut to disconnect the generator wire. The generator connector gets disconnected before eliminating the two bolt securing the generator. The two bolts need to be snugly installed on the generator with a torque requirement of 24.5 Nm (250 kg.cm, 18 ft.lb) for the 14 mm head and 54 Nm (550 kg.cm, 40 ft.lb) for the 17 mm head. First reconnect the generator connector and following that install the generator wire then end with the nut and rubber cap reinstallation. Finally, reinstall the drive belt.
