Wrap up air cleaner cap connections with wire harness clamps. To complete the procedure attach the purge VSV connector along with the MAF meter connector and reconnect the negative battery cable followed by system initialization steps because certain features need this reset after removing and reinstalling the cable from the battery.

The first step to service and repair the Canister Purge Valve of the 2ZR-FE emission control system requires removal of the No. 2 cylinder head cover. Begin by disconnecting the duty vacuum switching valve connector as well as the wire harness clamp and unfasten the two hoses before removing the duty vacuum switching valve but keep it away from falling while disassembling it. The last step requires unwinding the screw which attaches the duty vacuum switching valve.

The first step to install the Canister Purge Valve for 2AZ-FE emission control system involves attaching the vacuum switching valve to the air cleaner hose. Begin by attaching the vacuum switching valve to the hose of the air cleaner. Then complete the connection of the 2 purge line hoses with the valve before clamping down the wire harness. The vacuum switching valve connector needs final installation.

Disconnect the duty vacuum switching valve connector and wire harness clamp.

Install the purge VSV with the screw.

Disconnect the duty vacuum switching valve connector and wire harness clamp.

Secure it with the screw.

Remove the vacuum switching valve.
