Front Impact Sensor

The first step to replace Side Bag Sensor Assy LH requires compliance with all safety procedures involving Air Bag Systems. Connectors should be disconnected from the battery negative terminal with at least 90 seconds of wait time before starting work. Start the procedure by taking off the front and rear door scuff plates then proceed to remove front and rear door opening trims alongside the center pillar garnish lower. Disconnect its connector and remove the nut.

Replace it with a new one.

Remove the engine under cover LH.

Ensure that the SRS wiring does not interfere with other components and is not pinched.

Tighten the torx screw to a torque of 8.0 N.m (82 kgf.cm, 71 in.lbf).

Connect the connector to the side airbag sensor LH.

Ensure you have read the Restraint Systems Service Precautions thoroughly.

Reconnect the battery negative terminal and inspect the SRS warning light.
