Lighter Assembly

Starting the removal of the center power outlet socket requires first disconnecting manual front seat assembly LH by unfastening the front seat LH. Repetition of the front seat assembly RH installation steps must also follow. Symmetrically remove the front seat assembly LH followed by the front seat assembly RH from power seats according to the existing methods. The first step to remove the center front seat assembly involves uninstalling the center front seat. A taped screwdriver tool will detach the cigarette lighter by removing its claw while the cigarette lighter connector is disconnected from the outlet socket. The second claws should be detached to eliminate the cigarette lighter cover. To access the rear cigarette lighter we must start by taking off the center seatback panel of double cab models followed by a screwdriver detachment of the claw on the rear cigarette lighter socket assembly and finally the removal of the rear cigarette lighter socket cover through 2 claw dismantling.

The process to remove the rear cigarette lighter socket begins with removing the No. 2 deck board sub-assembly before proceeding with the luggage compartment trim box and rope hook assembly and then continuing with the removal of the No. 1 deck board sub-assembly and deck board reinforcement sub-assembly and deck board bracket. The subsequent step requires the removal of the rear No. 2 seat assembly RH where the seat type is either manual or power configurable. The removal task starts by detaching the rear seat cushion hinge lower cover RH and then continues with the rear floor step No. 1 cover and the rear floor step No. 2 cover. The sequence requires removal of the rear door scuff plate RH as well as the rear door opening trim Weather Strip RH. You should remove the rear floor mat support plate followed by the quarter trim panel assembly RH yet power seat configurations might produce varying steps. A screwdriver with taped tip will disengage the claws to remove the cigarette lighter socket assembly so you can remove the cigarette lighter socket cover by unfastening the two claws.

Disengage the 2 claws to remove the power outlet socket cover.

Engage the 2 claws and install the cigarette lighter indicator lens.

Remove the front ash receptacle box sub-assembly and the lower instrument cluster finish panel.

Detach the 2 claws to remove the CIGARETTE LIGHTER INDICATOR LENS.

Engage the claw and install the power outlet socket assembly.
