Begin by changing old packing in the connecting piece with new ones and making sure the packing surfaces remain grease and dirt-free before installing the front door lock. Place MP grease on the sliding and rotating capabilities of the front door lock before you connect the front door lock remote control cable and front door inside locking cable. Use the five claws to close the front cover before inserting the door lock open rod into the front door lock and positioning it against the door panel thus securing the outside handle link with the lock. Install the front door lock with three screws using a Torx socket wrench T30 and apply either Toyota Genuine Adhesive 1324 or Three Bond 1324 or an equivalent to the threads before tightening the screws to 5.0 Nm (51 kgf-cm, 44 in-lbf). By using a "Torx" socket wrench T30 you should install the front door lock cylinder assembly at 5.5 Nm (56 kgf-cm, 49 in-lbf) while ensuring the door lock key cylinder rod fits properly followed by installing the hole plug. Proceed to install the front door glass sub-assembly, front door window frame rear lower, front door lower frame bracket garnish, front door frame sub-assembly front lower, front door glass run, front door Weather Strip, front door check assembly, front door inside panel plate, front door service hole cover, front No. 1 speaker, front door glass outer Weather Strip assembly, outer rear view mirror, front No. 2 door service hole cover, front door trim board sub-assembly, front armrest base upper panel, and finally connect the cable to the negative battery terminal with a torque of 3.9 Nm (40 kgf-cm, 35 in-lbf).

Before undertaking the front door power door lock actuator replacement process the technician should first disconnect the negative battery cable. The first step in removing the power door lock actuator requires removal of the front armrest base upper panel followed by removing the front door trim board sub-assembly and front No. 2 door service hole cover and outer rear view mirror and front door glass outer Weather Strip assembly and front No. 1 speaker and front door service hole cover. The front door lock removal process starts with using a T30 "Torx" socket wrench to loosen 3 screws and then continuing with lowering the front door lock and removing the outside handle frame link before opening the cover with 5 claws before disconnecting the front door lock remote control cable and front door inside locking cable while also taking off the door lock wire harness seal.

For front door auto twilight installation in the sedan, first, if putting a door lock back that was removed, replace the packing in the connecting area with new and make sure no grease or dirt are on the packing area. Then installment of the front doors outside handle cover, front doors frame sub-assemble rear lower, front door glass run, front door window regulator sub-assembly, front doors glass sub-assembly, front door service hole cover, front door trim brackets, front door belt moldings, outer rear view mirror, front door trim board sub-assembly, front armrest base upper panel, front door lower frame bracket garnish, and front door window regulator handle assembly (powerless). Lastly, attach the cord to the negative battery terminal with a torque of 5.4 Nm (55 kgf cm, 48 in - lbf.).

The first step to replace the hatchback rear door lock actuator requires users to detach the negative battery cable. The procedure starts with door window regulator handle assembly removal (without power window) followed by the sub-assembly of the rear door trim board then continues with service hole cover removal then check assembly followed by Weather Strip extraction alongside the rear door belt moulding. The work sequence involves separating the rear door glass run from other components including the rear door window division bar sub-assembly and rear door quarter window Weather Strip together with the rear door glass sub-assembly. As part of the power window system you should take out the rear door window regulator sub-assembly. Install the front door glass sub-assembly, front door window frame rear lower, front door lower frame bracket garnish, front door frame sub-assembly front lower, front door glass run, front door weatherstrip, front door check assembly, front door inside panel plate, front door service hole cover, front No. 1 speaker, front door glass outer weatherstrip assembly, outer rear view mirror, front No. 2 door service hole cover, front door trim board sub-assembly, and front armrest base upper panel.

Install the back door trim board assembly.

Install the front door lock with three screws using a "Torx" socket wrench T30, tightening to a torque of 5.0 Nm (51 kgf-cm, 44 in-lbf).

Install the back door trim board assembly.

Install the back door trim board assembly.

Install the rear door glass sub-assembly, rear door window division bar sub-assembly, rear door glass run, rear door belt moulding, rear door weatherstrip, rear door check assembly, rear door service hole cover, rear door trim bracket, rear door trim board sub-assembly, and rear door armrest base upper panel (without power window).

Install the rear door glass sub-assembly, rear door window division bar sub-assembly, rear door glass run, rear door belt moulding, rear door weatherstrip, rear door check assembly, rear door service hole cover, rear door trim bracket, rear door trim board sub-assembly, and rear door armrest base upper panel.
