Damper Assembly, Fuel Pressure Pulsation

The Fuel Pressure Regulator service demands removing the V-bank cover as the first step. After vacuum sensing hose and fuel return hose removal from the fuel pressure regulator you must place a shop rag underneath to retain any fuel spillage. To retrieve the pressure regulator lock in the 2 securing bolts and gently extract it with attention to O-ring removal. Place a light coating of gasoline on a new O-ring before installing it to the fuel pressure regulator. Follow these instructions to install the delivery pipe regulator while adjusting it through left and right motion followed by securing the 2 bolts to a torque of 7.5 N.m (80 kgf.cm, 66 in.lbf). Affix the vacuum sensing hose and fuel return hose back to the pressure regulator unit. Inspect for fuel leakages before reinstalling the V-bank cover.

The first step for installing the fuel pressure regulator assembly on the 2UZ-FE engine involves applying gasoline to an O-ring followed by installation on the assembly before mounting it onto the delivery pipe. When installing the assembly onto the delivery pipe you must perform this step while it rotates left and right. Two bolts need installation to the assembly which requires torqueing up to 7.5 Nm (76 kgf-cm, 66 in-lbf). Connect the fuel hose together with the vacuum hose onto the fuel pressure regulator assembly. Examine the system for fuel leakages as your concluding check.

7.5 Nm (80 kg.cm, 66 in.lb).

Disconnect the vacuum sensing hose from the intake air resonator and the fuel return hose from the pressure regulator.

Discharge the fuel system pressure and disconnect the cable from the negative battery terminal, waiting at least 90 seconds to prevent airbag and seat belt pretensioner activation.

While turning it left and right, install it onto the delivery pipe and secure it with the 2 bolts, torquing them to 7.5 N.m (80 kgf.cm, 66 in.lbf).

Discharge the fuel system pressure and disconnect the cable from the negative battery terminal, waiting at least 90 seconds to prevent airbag and seat belt pretensioner activation.

Discharge the fuel system pressure and disconnect the cable from the negative battery terminal.

Remove the 2 bolts securing the assembly and pull out the fuel pressure regulator assembly.

Install the intake air surge tank and attach the air cleaner assembly with the element.

Secure the assembly with 2 bolts, tightening them to a torque of 7.5 Nm (76 kgf-cm, 66 in-lbf).

First, install the vacuum hose.

Remove the front wiper motor and link assembly.
