Start brake caliper service and repairs by taking off the front wheel and fasten the disc temporarily using hub nuts which should be torqued to 103 Nm (1,050 kgf-cm, 76 ft. lbs.). The first step involves disconnecting the flexible hose through union bolt removal with a new gasket installation while torqueing the union bolt to 30 Nm (310 kgf-cm, 22 ft. lbs.) and collecting draining brake fluid in a container. You should first remove the caliper by holding the sliding pin while you untighten the 2 installation bolts which have been torqued to 34 Nm (350 kgf-cm, 25 ft. lbs.). Then remove the caliper from the torque plate. The installation requires removing both pads together with their anti-squeal shims and pad support plates. The installation process starts with following the removal steps in reverse order then adding brake fluid to the reservoir followed by bleeding the system while inspecting for potential leaks.

Begin by removing the front wheel and temporarily fastening the disc with hub nuts, ensuring a torque of 103 Nm (1,050 kgf-cm, 76 ft. lbs.).

Fill the brake reservoir with brake fluid, bleed the brake system, and check for leaks.

Install the torque plate and torque the mounting bolts to 107 Nm, ensuring to apply lithium soap base glycol grease to the indicated parts during reassembly.
