    The installation of Engine Control Module (ECM) for the 2AZ-FE engine control system begins with attaching a bracket to the ECM by using 4 screws that should be tightened to 3.0 Nm (30 kgf-cm, 27 in-lbf). The ECM needs to be fastened with 3 bolts that require 8.0 Nm (82 kgf-cm and 71 in-lbf) torque specifications. Connect the 2 ECM connectors after checking for contamination between parts and then safely position the 2 levers downward. First install the air cleaner case sub-assembly and afterward position the air cleaner cap sub-assembly before installing the engine cover sub-assembly. Before ending the procedure for a new ECM installation run the RESET MEMORY process to initialize the Automatic Transmission.
