The first step to replace the ABS Control Module begins with unattaching the instrument panel under cover sub-assy No. 1 while also removing the instrument panel sub-assy lower. The procedure starts with unscrewing the 2 nuts holding the skid control ECU assy before disconnecting it from the body. The removal is finished by disconnecting the ECU connectors from the assy. When installing the skid control ECU assy you must connect the ECU connectors before fastening it using 2 nuts that require a torque setting of 5.5 Nm (56 kgf-cm, 49 inch lbs.). When the installation procedure ends attach both the instrument panel sub-assy lower and the instrument panel under cover sub-assy No. 1. Perform the calibration procedures for yaw rate sensor zero point (with VSC) while also decelerating the sensor zero point (with VSC) and conduct a VSC sensor signal check (with VSC).

Use Special Service Tool: 09751-36011 to detach the 6 brake lines, ensuring a torque of 15 Nm (155 kgf-cm, 11 ft. lbs.) is applied.

Perform the YAWRATE SENSOR ZERO POINT CALIBRATION (W/ VSC), the DECELERATION SENSOR ZERO POINT CALIBRATION (W/ VSC), and check the VSC SENSOR SIGNAL (W/ VSC).

Torque to 19 Nm (195 kgf-cm, 14 ft. lbs.).

Fill the reservoir with brake fluid, bleed the master cylinder using Special Service Tool: 09023-00100, bleed the brake line, check the fluid level in the reservoir, inspect for brake fluid leakage, and verify the operation of the brake actuator.

Pull out the release bar.
