Toyota Yaris Spoiler Parts Questions & Experts Answers
Q: How to install a rear spoiler on a sedan on Toyota Yaris?
A: The process of installing a rear spoiler on a sedan starts with attaching a new rear spoiler protector to the installation region and maintaining the replacement of this protector according to requirements. Execute this sequence also on the right-hand side. For reused spoilers heat the luggage compartment door panel adhesive tape with 40 to 60 degrees Celsius (104 to 140 degrees Fahrenheit) infrared light for one to two minutes before removing it with a shop rag while hot. The removal of tape during the process must be completely finished to stop adhesion failure from occurring. Applying new double-sided adhesive tape must follow cleaning the rear spoiler with non-residue solvent on the installation surface. Then clean the surface by performing the tape heating and removal procedure on the luggage compartment door panel and finish by cleansing it with a non-residue solvent. The wire harness insertion into the luggage compartment door panel hole should be followed by 2 clip installations to lock down the rear spoiler. Uncover the protective tape then fasten the two bolts before attaching the center stop light cable. To finish the process users should join the cable to the negative battery terminal while applying 5.4 Nm (55 kgf-cm, 48 in-lbf) of torque.
