To access the back door lock actuator, the negative battery terminal must be disconnected and then several parts are removed such as door trim, glass run, and window regulator (where possible). Screws, cables and finally the door lock, harness seal should be removed using a T30 Torx socket.

How to install the back door lock actuator assembly on Toyota Yaris?

Installation of the back door lock actuator requires installation of 2 bolts at 7.0 Nm followed by 3 bolts at 7.5 Nm to install the lock. Connect the negative battery cable, where it is torqued at 5.4 Nm and attaches the trim board assembly.
