The throttle cable service starts with cable removal from the throttle linkage and engine compartment clamps followed by disconnecting the cable clamp from the torque converter clutch housing using a bolt. The throttle cable removal process begins by uninstalling both the
Valve Body and its retaining bolt. You must push the new throttle cable into its full length and bolt it securely in place. Installation of the valve body requires stakeholders to bend the inner cable stopper into a 200 mm (7.87 in) radius while gently pulling the cable until slight resistance happens before staking the stopper at 0.8 to 1.5 mm (0.031 - 0.059 in) from the outer cable end. Put the connector bolt into place then attach the torque converter clutch housing to the cable clamp before linking the cable between clamps in the engine compartment and throttle linkage and perform throttle cable adjustment as necessary.
