Fasten the knock control sensor in its position while aligning it correctly and set torque to 20 Nm (204 kgf-cm, 15 ft-lbf). The installation of the knock control sensor requires you to join its connector. Install the intake manifold with a new gasket by using 5 bolts and 2 nuts that need to be torques to 25 Nm (255 kgf-cm, 18 ft-lbf). The wire harness installation requires attachment to the relay block along with the nut application using 10 Nm (102 kgf-cm, 7 ft-lbf) torque before connecting all three connectors. Install the harness clamp bracket and secure it with a bolt applied at 8.2 Nm (84 kgf-cm, 73 in-lbf) torques. Then, activate the wire harness clamp. The air conditioning system requires connector connections for the compressor magnetic clutch with both the engine wire harness clamp and VSV connector and ventilation hose No. 3 and water by-pass hose No. 2. Mount the clamp bracket with a bolt torqued to 19 Nm (194 kgf-cm, 14 ft-lbf) and connect the vacuum hose along with the fuel vapor feed hose to the VSV. Install the throttle with motor body assembly and intake air connector after connecting the fuel hose and fuel hose No. 2. The technician finishes by connecting the cable to the negative battery terminal with 3.9 Nm torque (40 kgf-cm, 35 in-lbf) followed by engine coolant addition before inspecting for leakage of engine coolant and fuel and then installing the engine under cover sub-assembly No.1 for 4WD and Pre-Runner models.
