The exhaust pipe assembly tail requires removal of 2 bolts and 2 nuts followed by detaching the exhaust pipe tail from 4 exhaust pipe supports to extract the gasket on the exhaust pipe front. The exhaust pipe assembly front requires removing its 2 bolts with 2 compression springs before detaching it from the exhaust pipe support to release the exhaust manifold gasket.

A new compression spring should replace any existing spring that shows a measurement less than 40.5 mm (1.594 in.) when checked with vernier calipers.
