The process for valve clearance service requires draining coolant followed by removing the front wiper arm head cap along with right and left front wiper arms and cowl top ventilator louver sub-assembly and wiper link assembly. First remove the No. 1 cowl top to cowl brace inner and the outer front cowl top panel sub-assembly and the right front fender apron seal. Crank the V-bank cover sub-assembly away by using a socket hexagon wrench 5 to unscrew its 3 nuts and finish by removing the cover. Dismantle the emission control valve set by disconnecting two VSV connectors and removing the wire harness clamp while also detachment fuel vapor feed hoses and vacuum hoses prior to unfastening the two nuts securing the emission control valve set. The intake air surge tank requires separation through connector and hose disconnect methods followed by bolt and nut unfastening. Proceed by taking off the radiator hose inlet and
Ignition Coil assembly with the cylinder head cover sub-assembly while detaching the engine wire harness then extracting the nine bolts. You must apply an E6 "Torx" socket wrench to remove the bolts and disconnect the engine wire harness protector from the left cylinder head cover sub-assembly. Use seal packing Part No. 08826-00080 or equivalent on the cylinder head before putting in the cylinder head covers while tightening their bolts according to specified torques. Secure all connections between the ignition coil assembly, intake air surge tank combined with new gasket, emission control valve set during the reinstallation process. Reinstallation occurs of engine components including V-bank cover, cowl top panel, wiper assemblies while you should add coolant and verify the coolant system for potential leaks.
