A: In order to service the steering column cover on a 2006 RAV4, disconnection of the negative battery terminal and 90 seconds of waiting is required. Disconnect Air Bag and horn connectors and remove Steering Wheel assembly, remove steering pad. Install and remove column covers making sure there is correct alignment and torque. Reconnect battery and test the SRS light.
