    Service tasks on the brake caliper begin with removing the dust boot and sliding bushing through the help of long-nose pliers before using a small screwdriver and hammer to tap out the main pin boot. You need Special Service Tool: 09719-14020 (09719-00020) to counterclockwise turn the piston while removing it. Start by prying out the cylinder boot set ring and cylinder boot. The service tool 09756-00010 should be set on the adjusting bolt for which you should tighten it lightly while using a 14 mm deep socket for safety to protect against spring flight. Extract the snap ring through snap ring pliers before removing the parking brake strut and spring retainer combined with spring and spring plate and stopper which includes an adjusting bolt. Perform the following steps to disassemble the adjusting bolt assembly by removing Special Service Tool: 09756-00010 followed by removal of spring retainer and spring before taking out spring seat stopper and O-ring. Free the torsion spring from the parking brake crank after which you can take out the crank and its boot. Start by removing the bleeder plug together with the bolt and cable support bracket before extracting the stopper pin through tapping. Measure pad lining thickness against the standards of 10.0 mm with minimum requirement of 1.0 mm during inspections. Secure the adjusting bolt assembly inside the cylinder while applying the snap ring before inspecting the parking brake crank performance. Install the piston seal with piston into the cylinder through Special Service Tool: 09719-14020 (09719-00020) before adding the cylinder boot with set ring then the main pin boot with Special Service Tool: 09325-12010. Position the final components which include the dust boot along with the sliding bushing with proper placement of the bushing's flange toward the inside position.
