Toyota Land Cruiser A/C Compressor Parts Questions & Experts Answers
Q: How to remove the A/C Compressor on Toyota Land Cruiser?
A: Amateur technicians should begin HVAC compressor removal by taking off the upper radiator support seal. Next, recover refrigerant from the refrigeration system. Start by removing the 4 clips then the seal from the left-hand side front fender apron seal. The next step requires removal of both fan and generator V belt. Use a wrench to detach the No. 1 cooler refrigerant discharge hose from the cooler compressor by eliminating the bolt and then remove its O-ring before covering all openings with vinyl tape for moisture and foreign substance prevention. The first step involves unmounting the suction hose sub-assembly after removing its bolt and separating the hose from the cooler compressor while taking out the O-ring in the suction hose. The vacuum spaces need vinyl tape for sealing. To remove the cooler compressor assembly start by disconnecting its connector then detach all 3 bolts and nut afterward remove the stud bolt together with the compressor unit.
