Q: How to remove the outer rear Car Mirror on Toyota Venza?
A:
The first step to remove an outer rear view mirror requires disconnecting the negative battery cable followed by a 90-second wait period to deactivate the SRS system. The cable needs to be initialized before some systems will operate again after cable connection. The removal process begins by removing plugs from the front door inside handles followed by driver-side power window regulator master switches and passenger-side power window regulator switches which includes front door armrest base panels. The technician should proceed to remove the front door trim board sub-assembly along with the front door inside handle sub-assembly and the courtesy light assembly. The next removal steps include taking out the door side Air Bag sensor as well as the front door service hole cover. Detach the outer rear view mirror assembly by removing the hole plug followed by disconnecting the connector before unfastening three nuts until the claw disengages for complete removal of the assembly.
