How to replace the Ignition Switch or starter switch assembly on Toyota 4Runner?

The replacement procedure for the ignition or starter switch assembly starts by taking off both the lower steering column cover then the upper steering column cover. First disconnect the connector attached to the ignition switch before unlocking the connector from the warning switch. First remove the clamp then extinguish the two screws securing the ignition switch to remove the ignition or starter switch assembly. Special installation details and points will be noted for the installation process which runs in the opposite direction of removal.
