  Q: How to install the throttle body assembly on Scion xD?

  A: The first step to install the throttle body assembly for the 2ZR-FE engine control system requires placing a new gasket on the Intake Manifold. The throttle body assembly should be bolted with 2 parts and 2 nuts which require a torque setting of 10 Nm (102 kgf-cm, 7 ft-lbf). After installing the water bypass hose you must connect first the No. 2 water bypass hose followed by the throttle body assembly connector. Install the air cleaner cap sub-assembly with the hose while securing both clamps before torquing the hose clamp to 3.0 Nm (31 kgf-cm and 27 in-lbf). The technician must install the No. 2 ventilation hose followed by the wire harness clamp along with the mass air flow meter connector. Engine coolant should be added following the assembly phase while checking for any possible coolant leakage. The last step involves installing the No. 2 cylinder head cover component.
