In order to take out the radiator, make sure that the ignition is switched off. Begin with draining the coolant, taking off the front bumper cover and disconnection of several hoses. Take out the hood lock, upper radiator support and fan motor connector. Lastly, remove the water filler sub-assembly, shroud fan and radiator drain cock.

How to install the radiator on Scion xD?

Install drain cock. Attach fan shroud; water filler (clip, 2 bolts 7.5 Nm). Mount radiator (avoid condenser); connect fan, clamp, horn. Install support (5 bolts 5.5 Nm), cooler cover; hood lock (3 bolts 7.5 Nm). Connect hoses, install air cleaner, absorber, bumper, add coolant, adjust hood lock, check leaks.
