How to remove the ABS Control Module for Antilock Brakes on Scion xD?

When changing the Hydraulic Control Assembly of the Anti Lock Brakes, it is necessary to drain off the brake fluid and clean any spillage. Take off the cowl top ventilator louver, battery and tray. Disassemble the brake actuator, and label the brake tubes. Use bolts to remove the actuator, which is done to VSC assemblies too.

How to install the ABS Control Module and connect the brake tubes on Scion xD?

Install bracket 4 bolts (5.4 Nm); keep hole plug until tube hookup; don't lift by connector. Mount actuator/bracket with 3 bolts (19 Nm). Install tubes 1–6; torque 15 Nm (14 with union wrench). Connect harness. Install battery, fill/bleed, check level/leaks. Install cowl louver; use Techstream to calibrate and clear DTCs.
