The replacement process for fuel injector assembly requires you to begin by discharging fuel system pressure. The removal of cover No.2 requires unfastening its 4 mounting nuts. For the replacement proceed by disconnecting 4
Ignition Coil connectors followed by removing 4 bolts which release the ignition coils. Attach the ventilation hoses to the end of operations while using 9 bolts and 2 nuts with 2 seal washers to separate the cylinder head cover sub-assembly. The procedure for disconnecting the fuel tube sub-assembly includes using Special Service Tool: 09268-21010 to detach the tube while removing the fuel pipe clamp and ensuring the inspection for dirt before disconnection and the avoidance of bending the nylon tube. Through fuel injector connector detachment followed by removal of three bolts you can extract the fuel delivery pipe assembly containing its four fuel injectors and keep them from dropping. Take away the 2 spacers from the cylinder head and extract the 4 fuel injectors through this opening. The installation requires new insulators for each injector followed by application of gasoline or grease to new O-rings before their installation. Apply grease or gasoline on the O-ring contact area at the fuel delivery pipe before inserting the injector and turning it into place. Put the 2 spacers onto the cylinder head then add the fuel delivery pipe with 4 fuel injectors and tighten bolt A to 19 N.m (194 kg.cm, 14 ft.lbf) while tightening bolt B to 9.0 N.m (92 kg.cm, 80 in.lbf). Secure the fuel tube by first checking the connections for damage and examining for foreign objects then tightening the connectors with supervised fuel pipe clamp installation. Use Part No. 08826-00080 or equivalent packing material on the cylinder head cover sub-assembly yet ensure oil-free surfaces before installing it within three minutes and waiting two hours until starting the engine. Tighten and secure 9 bolts along with 2 nuts coupled with 2 seal washers to 10 N.m (102 kg.cm, 7 ft.lbf) in the designated order, before attaching ventilation hoses. Use 9.0 N.m (92 kg.cm, 80 in.lbf) when installing ignition coil No.1 before checking for fuel leakage then installing cylinder head cover No.2 while tightening nut A first and then nut B to 7.0 N.m (71 kg.cm, 62 in.lbf).
