Remove the engine rear oil seal by performing the following steps: cut off the oil seal lip with a blade then pry it out using a screwdriver covered in tape. Inspect the crankshaft for damage as the last step and round off rough edges with 400-grit sandpaper. The installation requires applying multipurpose grease to the new oil seal lip which must remain free of contaminants then using Special Service Tool: 09223-56010 with a hammer to tap the oil seal in position while observing a vertical alignment and wiping away any surplus grease from the crankshaft.
