The Knock Sensor is a very important sensor which has the capacity to boost the reliability of Scion tC automobiles. This is an enhanced gadget that is used to identify what is known as the engine knock; this is a condition that tends to occur when the ignition has been timed poorly, and it is a critical feature given the fact that it aims at helping maintain the highest efficiency levels in the engine. As a real-time knock sensor feeds the signal directly to the PCM, the Knock Sensor successfully damps out overly aggressive detonation and thus, protects the engine from significant damage. This feature is especially useful to those who utilize lower octane gasoline because it makes Scion tC to run optimally for as long as it is commanded to do so by the driver. This deal applies the Knock Sensor on various tC models which make them ideal for both the supercar enthusiasts and general users. Being piezoelectric in nature it continuously tracks pressure spikes so that the engine runs smoothly and a damage free manner. Also, for the Knock Sensor, the timing for each cylinder can be changed separately, which also contributes to the car versatility. As the Knock Sensor plays the vital role in the performance of Scion tC, it is well selling product in the automotive market which helps in increasing the safety and performance of Scion tC. Besides, this element contributes to the tC's modern driving experience and, at the same time, emphasizes the quality and innovative approach Scion is known for, making it a must-have for any tC owner.

After fitting the intake manifold insulator to the cylinder block install a new gasket into the intake manifold while tightening its 5 bolts and 2 nuts to 30 Nm (305 kgf-cm, 22 ft-lbf). The installation process requires fitting the union to the check valve hose into the vacuum hose clamp followed by wire harness clamp installation and camshaft timing oil control valve connector connection and attaching the union to the check valve hose leading to the Brake Booster with proper paint mark and hose clamp orientation. After securing the heater water inlet hose to the cylinder head and heater radiator unit with a hose clamp, proceed to mount the outlet hose to the water by-pass pipe and heater radiator unit at the correct angle for the hose clamp and paint mark. The installation of the fuel tube requires connector alignment with the pipe along with continuous pushing until the "click" sound emerges while inspecting for object intrusion and debris before confirming the tube's security through pull tests. First install the bolt and clip onto the cowl body mounting bracket lower LH while applying torque of 13 Nm (135 kgf-cm, 10 ft-lbf). Next, place the Throttle Body and air cleaner cap and finally the fuel delivery pipe. The cowl top panel outer requires seven bolts installation which must be torqued to 13 Nm (135 kgf-cm, 10 ft-lbf). The wire harness clamp should then be secured before proceeding. Begin by tethering the cable to the negative battery terminal then add engine coolant and verify engine coolant and fuel leakages. The last phase of installation involves putting on the engine cover with the cowl top ventilator louver LH attached with a hood to cowl top seal followed by front wiper arm installation and front wiper arm head cap removal. System initialization procedures must be performed after negative battery terminal disconnection.
