A Fuel Filler Hose is a duct that provides a connection between the tank and neck and is a reinforced tube to make sure that fuel flows very quickly and the fuel vapors are well contained. Installation of a replacement Fuel Filler Hose will take about 10 minutes; it will be necessary to find a way of parking in a windy area, disconnect the battery and support the vehicle in case jack stands are needed. Get the tank pressure out, loosen the 2 clamps and then twist and slide the old hose out. Clean the metal stubs, install new clamps and run the new Fuel Filler Hose without any sharp bends. Make sure the hose is fully seated on each barb and position the clamps over the ridges, tightening them evenly. Then reinstall any shields, reconnect the battery, add a small amount of fuel, and check for leaks before driving.
