2010 Toyota Yaris Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: How to install the Clutch Slave Cylinder assembly on 2010 Toyota Yaris?
A: Secure the clutch release cylinder assembly through tightening the two bolts to 12 Nm torque (120 kgf-cm, 8.7 ft-lbf). The installation requires connecting the clutch release cylinder to the flexible hose tube through a union nut wrench with 15 Nm (155 kgf-cm, 11 ft-lbf) torque unless using the wrench which allows 14 Nm (144 kgf-cm, 10 ft-lbf). The specified torque can be generated using a 300 mm (11.8 in.) torque wrench combined with a 22 mm (0.866 in.) union nut wrench where the nut aligns parallel to the torque wrench. The brake reservoir requires new fluid for populating it and the clutch needs bleeding while applying 8.3 Nm (85 kgf-cm, 73 in-lbf) torque when needed. An inspection of fluid leakage should be the last step.
