2010 Toyota Camry Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: How to remove the Steering Angle Sensor on 2010 Toyota Camry?
A: The removal process of the Steering Angle Sensor starts by reading the proper warnings that come with it. Unplug the negative battery cable for 90 seconds as one of the precautions to stop the Air Bags from deploying. The front wheels need to keep facing straight ahead before reconnecting the cable following sensor installation. Reconnection requires keeping both front wheels and steering wheel directly ahead. Secondly you should remove the No. 2 Lower Steering Wheel Cover and then perform the removal of the No. 3 Lower Steering Wheel Cover before taking off the Steering Pad. The next step toward installation requires elimination of both the Steering Wheel Assembly and the Steering Column Cover. The final step requires removing the Spiral Cable Sub-Assembly with the Steering Angle Sensor by disconnecting the 6 claws from the spiral cable.
