A: Service and repair of the cabin air filter starts with aligning the front wheels forward and disconnecting the negative terminal then waiting 90 seconds to prevent Air Bags from deploying. Following the lower No. 3 steering wheel cover removal perform procedure on lower No. 2 steering wheel cover and finally work on the steering pad. The service starts by taking out the steering wheel assembly and the front door scuff plate LH alongside the cowl side trim sub-assembly LH. Caretakers should first detach the lower instrument panel finish panel LH then the steering column cover along with both the turn signal switch assembly and spiral cable sub-assembly. Proceed to uninstall the No. 1 instrument panel sub-assembly together with the lower instrument panel finish panel and the instrument cluster finish panel No. 1. Uninstall the combination meter assembly and the front door scuff plate on the right hand side as well as the cowl side trim sub-assembly which lies on the right hand side. The technical team will procure the instrument panel No. 2 under cover sub-assembly followed by the lower instrument panel sub-assembly and shift lever knob sub-assembly.
