- Q: How to service and repair the throttle body on 2010 Scion xD?A: Engine coolant drainage is the first step before performing service or repairing the throttle body of the 2ZR-FE engine. The second step is to take off the No. 2 cylinder head cover. Start the air cleaner cap sub-assembly hose removal process by disconnecting the wire harness clamp followed by the mass air flow meter connector then proceed to disconnect the No. 2 ventilation hose before loosening the hose clamp and unlocking the 2 clamps before taking off the air cleaner cap sub-assembly with hose. You should disconnect the throttle body connector before removing the throttle body assembly by disconnecting both water by-pass hoses while removing two bolts and two nuts before retracting the assembly. Remove the final gasket that exists on the intake manifold.
