How to install the Starter Motor on 2010 Scion xD?

Two bolts must be used to install the starter assembly by torquing them to 37 Nm (377 kgf-cm, 27 ft-lbf). The terminal cap should be completed by attaching terminal 30 with a nut that requires 9.8 Nm (100 kgf-cm, 87 in-lbf) torque before closing the cap. Slip the extending part of the flywheel housing side cover onto the cylinder block end while pushing it forward until the claw securely inserts into position before replacing the defective claw. The engine installment begins with under cover RH followed by under cover LH. The negative end of the cable requires installation onto the battery terminal after tightening the nut to 5.4 Nm (55 kgf-cm, 48 in-lbf).
