The first step for maintenance of the Canister Purge Valve requires connecting the cable to the negative battery terminal. The V-bank cover sub-assembly needs to be taken off as a first step. You should first detach all parts from the purge VSV by removing its connector along with the two purge line hoses. You should take out the purge VSV from the air cleaner hose before removing the bolt and No. 1 vacuum switching valve.
