The procedure for rear wiper arm assembly includes stopping the wiper motor at its automatic stop position and round file cleaning of the wiper arm serration followed by wire brush cleaning on the wiper pivot serration. Secure the arm and blade with the provided nut while setting them in the exact position of the illustration and applying 5.5 Nm (56 kgf-cm, 49 in-lbf) of torque. When installing the nut you should restrain the arm hinge manually and position the rear wiper blade directly along the defogger line. The last steps include installing the cap before attaching the cable to the negative (-) terminal and completing an initialization process which some systems need after reconnecting the cable from the negative terminal.
