2009 Toyota Prius Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: How to remove the A/C Compressor on 2009 Toyota Prius?
A: Starting to remove the electric inverter compressor requires first removing rear No. 2 floor board and then the deck floor box rear followed by rear No. 3 floor board. Detach the negative battery cable first and afterward pull off the service plug grip. The refrigeration system requires a process to evacuate its refrigerant content. The discharge hose sub-assembly needs unbolted and unmounted to extract the bolt and O-ring while using vinyl tape to seal the disconnected area. Rephrase the suction hose sub-assembly steps by taking out its bolt followed by O-ring while utilizing vinyl tape to block the openings. The electric inverter compressor assembly can be removed after releasing the green lock and disconnecting the connector and separating the 3 clamps then disconnecting the wire harness. The procedures require insulated gloves along with tape-sealed insulation coverage of the connector. The last operation involves removing the three bolts that fasten the electric inverter compressor.
