    Q:
How to remove an A/C Compressor on Toyota Prius? Posted by Customer
    A:
Starting the electric inverter compressor removal requires removing the rear No. 2 floor board then continuing with the deck floor box rear followed by the rear No. 3 floor board. Detach the negative cable from the corresponding battery terminal and eliminate the service plug from the grip. Remove refrigerant from the refrigeration system before disconnecting the discharge hose sub-assembly by removing its bolt together with O-ring from the hose. Use vinyl tape to secure all open compartments so they remain protected from moisture as well as external objects. You should disconnect the suction hose sub-assembly by taking out its bolt and O-ring and sealing every opening with vinyl tape. The process of electric inverter compressor assembly removal starts with releasing a green lock and disconnecting the connector and unfastening clamps attached to the wire harness. Insulated gloves become necessary during maintenance procedures while tape should be used to create insulation for the connector. Close by removing the three bolts that fasten the electric inverter compressor.
