The vacuum hose installation should come first when fitting the fuel pressure regulator assembly. New O-rings require a thin application of spindle oil or gasoline before mounting them onto the fuel pressure regulator. Fasten the fuel pressure regulator using two bolts where torques reach 9.0 Nm (92 kgf-cm, 80 in-lbf). Follow the No. 2 fuel pipe sub-assembly connection with the air cleaner assembly installation. When attaching the cable to the negative battery terminal it requires a torque setting of 3.9 Nm (40 kgf-cm, 35 in-lbf). When all tasks are complete you should check for fuel leaks before installing the V-bank cover.
