The 2ZR-FE coolant system requires placement of a new gasket onto the thermostat followed by its position inside the water inlet while setting the jiggle valve upward but allowing adjustment between 10 degrees possibilities from the marked direction. You should fasten the water inlet with two nuts which require a torque setting of 10 Nm (102 kgf-cm, 7 ft-lbf). A new gasket goes on the thermostat before engine coolant addition where a leak inspection takes place after the installation.
