How to install the steering wheel on 2009 Toyota Corolla?

You must start steering wheel installation through attaching the 2 steering wheel pad attaching screws to the lower steering wheel boss cover. The 2 claws should be used to connect the lower steering wheel boss cover with the steering wheel sub-assembly before adding the two screws. The cruise control main switch should be installed when a system is present. Place the steering pad switch LH when installing this feature on the model. Secure the 2 pins to fasten the No. 1 steering wheel ornament onto the steering wheel sub-assembly before installing the screw. The vehicle requires a steering pad switch assembly which needs installation. Adjust the spiral cable only when the front wheels are precisely pointing forward. Line up the matchmarks between the steering wheel assembly and steering main shaft before inserting the steering wheel assembly set nut to 50 Nm (510 kgf-cm, 37 ft-lbf). Then, connect the connectors to the spiral cable sub-assembly. Add the steering pad next to installing both the lower No. 3 and lower No. 2 steering wheel covers. The steering wheel center point requires examination followed by connecting the cable to the negative battery terminal and testing the steering pad function. The SRS warning light must be inspected as the last step.
