• Q: How to install the radiator on 2009 Toyota Avalon?

  A: Install the radiator by placing the fan assembly with motor onto the radiator through its bottom guides combined with top snap fits. Narrow the installation process by first installing the 2 radiator support lowers to the radiator assembly then fitting the 2 radiator support cushions. Position the radiator bodies first and use 4 bolts to attach the condenser assembly while tightening them to 5.4 Nm (55 kgf-cm, 48 in-lbf) and add the fan motor connector. Use 3 bolts to attach the hood lock assembly to the radiator support upper while keeping bolt torque at 8.0 Nm (82 kgf-cm, 71 in-lbf). Next, install the hood lock nut cap onto the hood lock assembly before moving forward. Screw in the first oil cooler outlet tube No.1 and first oil cooler inlet tube No.1 onto the radiator assembly followed by the installation of the radiator hose outlet and inlet. The radiator assembly receives the radiator reserve tank hose as a first step before installing air cleaner inlet No.1 and air cleaner inlet No.2. The last step in battery installation includes adding engine coolant while performing a leak inspection.
