2009 Toyota Avalon Radiator Parts Q&A

  • Q: How to remove the radiator on 2009 Toyota Avalon?
A: Start by draining engine coolant after separating the battery together with air cleaner inlets for number 1 and number 2 positions. Start by disconnecting the radiator reserve tank hose from the radiator assembly and proceed to untie the radiator hose inlet and outlet. In the process of removing the radiator you must disconnect both oil cooler inlet tube No.1 and oil cooler outlet tube No.1 from the radiator assembly. The hood lock assembly requires removal of its hood lock nut cap to extract three bolts which separate it from the radiator support upper before the removal of five securing bolts on the radiator support upper. The fan motor connector must be detached before you remove the 4 bolts that separate the condenser assembly from the radiator assembly so you can extract the radiator assembly from the body. The radiator assembly requires removal of its 2 radiator support cushions and the 2 radiator support lowers. Disassemble the three snap fits to lift the fan assembly that contains the motor from the radiator.
